It is hard to resist the vivid Golden and Red Crescendo Primulas. Early warm weather makes it a perfect time to bring an outdoor container to life.

The Primula or Primrose are hardy perennials that feature thick green leaves that stay low to the ground with a rising stalk ‘crescendo’ or cluster of bright colors. Growing up to eight inches, they require regular watering and bloom for weeks. Their abundant and long lasting flowers can be purple, yellow, red, pink or white. They prefer partial sun and shady spaces. They give a dormant whiskey barrel container some early April color.
